As a teenager sitting in 9th grade German class, Doug’s instructor, Herr Johnson, informed the students “Doug has great ideas and someday people are going to listen to him.” He’s still waiting for that day to come...

In the meantime, he founded brinca dada to bring together his love of design and toys. Doug has had a successful career as an entrepreneur, marketer and toy buyer. He spent nine years at Toys”R”Us and ToysRUs.com in Marketing, New Concept Development and Buying. Before that, he helped successfully launch several different start-up companies.

Doug has a BA in Humanities from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and enjoys reading, riding his Vespa and wrestling with his kids.

He lives in New York City with his wife and their three children.
